MN special session put off as Gov. Dayton (P-D) meets with Speaker Daudt (R-P)

In an effort to maintain the facade that there is significant difference between the two major political parties, both sides have agreed to engage in some political theater over the budget. Though talk of a special session has circulated since the end of the Minnesota State Legislative session, openly Progressive Governor Mark Dayton and State House Speaker Kurt Daudt have been meeting on the pretext of working out a budget compromise.
